I love Sri Ramana Maharshi. He is probably the most enlightened beings of our time, relatively speaking. When he says God he is talking about our true Self that is infinite and eternal - Spiritual-Consciousness. Not Mind/body-Consciousness that is the temporary Temple of Spiritual-Consciousness.
He is saying we must surrender the thinking mind for the Being Mind through meditation, mindfulness - to pray without ceasing. When the mind is quiet the true Soul speaks.
Let us be led by Spiritual-Consciousness that is whole and eternal, over Mind-Consciousness that is always dual-natured and temporary.
