The reason peace can only come as a consequence of universal enlightenment is because it is only at the level of Spirit, beyond all mental and physical appearances that we realize our brothers and sisters are actually our Self - our true Self. It is only through our own realization of the Self that we understand I am of thy Self One being many.
The unrealized do not understand this, they see separation and differentiation of the mental and physical worlds as their only reality. They do not realize that beyond the mind and body is a dimension of Being that creates all that is created. This being the case they fight each other for their good. Once realization dawns, we allow the good to manifest through and as us, giving instead of taking what is naturally our birthright. In time, we realize the mind/body is not meant to create life but reveal it.
