BEING MUST BE FELT

The conscious mind aka thought is embodied by the subconscious/present moment either while in its temple or outside of it. If the conscious mind is outside of its temple, it is in an egoic state through the process of thinking. If it is in its temple, then it is in a mediative or mindfulful state through being in the moment. The subconscious is the part of the present moment aka vessel for Soul that the conscious mind has direct dominion of due to being conscious of it. The present moment the Soul does not until he/she is Self-Realized.

The conscious mind, inspired by Awareness or lack thereof, envisions or beholds an idea, while the subconscious mind reacts to it with emotion, emoting the body to move and create in the physical world. Unless thought has eMOTION attached to thought, it is not going to be made manifest in one's reality, either in your body or the body of the world. Whatever it is in life, if you want to have an impact, you must put your whole heart into it.

This is important to keep in mind with meditation. If you leave your subconscious & emotional centre out of your meditation practice, then you are only meditating half-heartedly - with only half the mind. For the mind/body to truly be at peace, the conscious and the subconscious must be in harmony while working together as One. Thought and feeling must be unified.

If you practice meditation as your sense of I am-ness which is your presence with just your conscious mind (I), you are going to feel hot, irritated & fidgety. Quite possibly ending up with nothing more than a headache. Instead, it is wise to meditate from the heart/chest area with feeling, while drawing your mind/thought into the moment of meditation. In other words FEEL your meditation. This is vital. Put your heart into it.

Your emotions must be as at peace as your thoughts are. Remember it is feeling or emotion that brings peace to thought. These principles are essential to embody if you are going to firstly enjoy meditation and secondly, make it a lifestyle, which is the reason we do it. It leads us to realization of the Self.

Meditation should not be an event or something we do now and again for our wellbeing such as hiking or walking. We practice meditation because we are reacquainting ourselves with our true state of being. Our true Self. It is a lifestyle change as much as anything else. It is not something we do to enhance the egoic lifestyle that lives in ignorance.

We only practice meditation because we are presently in an egoic state of mind and must relearn our natural state of BEING. Being is another word for meditation and what does meditation mean? It means no discriminating mind, meaning 'no thinking' mind. So, your natural state of BEING IS MEDITATION. Meditation therefore is not something you learn but something you are. Therefore, we take away all that is inhibiting our natural expression of the Christ or Zen mind. Clearly, this is thinking.

Understand you do not practice meditation because to do so is to employ the mind (by practicing) which is counterproductive to meditation. This being said, how does one practice being their true Self then? Understand meditation is more a non-practice than a practice. A non-activation of thought. Meditation is not what you do so much as what you don't do. It is like falling asleep. The more you try to fall asleep the more you fail. Rather you relax and sleep overcomes one.

To reiterate & expand a little on what has already been said; when you begin your non-practice of meditation or being, let your sense of 'I am-ness (Consciousness being Awareness) be felt in the chest area. If there is anxiety sitting there, breathe it out until it is gone. Actively relax and shake out any tension in your body. Stretch. Let there be a deep let go. You will begin to feel your mind calm as your body does. Become conscious of this relaxation, of this free sense of awareness that is 'now'. Be in the moment without thinking about it - judging it or being discriminating. You will find you can be perfectly aware and cognitive without taking thought. Thoughts from the ether (that are not self-created) may float by and bid you to attend them. Don't allow them to distract you. Take your attention back and anchor it in the moment. A knowing - an awareness will guide you instead.

Allow your conscious mind aka thought, to stay still within its own Awareness. You are the (I) wanting to rise in thought as well as the (Am) Awareness watching. I conscious mind am subconscious mind is Self-Awareness at the level of mind. Every time you feel your mind start to rise in thought (judgment of some kind) and your body start to hold tension, go back your chest area, breathe out deeply, physically relaxing again. Bring yourself as thought back your Present Moment Awareness. Keep it together. Keep your I in its Temple. Shake the tension out if you must. Stay present. The goal is a deep relaxation. A deep let go of all 'right and wrongs' is the first step in meditation. The most vital and fundamental step.

It is good to discipline the mind to stay as one thought. To keep the I and the am together. You can do this by focusing on anything of your choice. This discipline is practiced so that within time you are able to keep your mind in awareness of the present moment effortlessly, with a deep relaxation that does not wander. When meditation is constant and effortless the Self is realized. Your sense of identity will be in and as the formless rather than form. This will be your experience. And you will bear the fruits of this experience which is the pearl of great price; a peace that passes all understanding.

"Do not be anxious about anything. (Do not sit outside the present moment). Instead, in every situation with prayer (hold a meditative mind) and petition with thanksgiving (Have the experience of BEING God), tell your requests to God.(Let your mind be of the same mind that was in Buddha and Christ etc). And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds (Individual mind) in Christ Jesus" (Impersonal True Mind) . - Philippians 4:6
